If you are unable to give us 24 hoursadvance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
Stuent Behavior Policy.
Here at YCT it is our mission to inspire a passion for tennis through enjoyable programing and thereby developing the students in character, skills, and relationships.
As a participate of YCT we as that all participants and guardians of participants agree to the following behavior terms. We strive to make an atmosphere in which students are inspired to try their best, feel safe and cared for, and genuinely enjoy to be in.
Students must commit to engaging and trying their best every day. This includes participating in all programing with gratitude, honoring dedicated times for rest and dedicated times for engagement, and having a positive attitude toward the activities, thus allowing all students to be encouraged and not brought down by the actions of others. We understand that everyone has off days and we as an organization are gracious, but we expect all participants to try their best everyday by participating and engaging themselves.
Students must treat each other with kindness and respect. In order to maintain a safe environment, disrespectful, violent, or mean behavior will not be tolerated.
To honor the time and responsibility of the coaches, parents and students must commit to being on time for arrival and pick up.
Students must respect the gear by not treating the racquets, the net, or the balls recklessly.
Furthermore, in the interest of safety program effectiveness, students are required to closely follow instruction from the coaches. Inability or unwillingness to follow instruction, defiance of authority, or runny away/hiding from coaches will not be tolerated.
YCT uses the following intervention protocol for dealing with students who fail to meet the behavior expectations:
1st incident: COACH REMINDER - Coach will remind student what is expected of them.
2nd incident: COACH/STUDENT DISCUSSION - Coach will pull student aside to determine why they continue to fall short of the expectation.
3rd incident: PARENT PHONE CAll - Coach will call parent and explain the situation and discuss ways to work together in correcting the behavior. Coach will recomend they attend a class to observe behavior. Coach will remind parent that next incident will result in removal from class without refund.
4th incident: STUDENT REMOVAL - YCT will remove student from class and not issue any refund for program.
YCT recommends parents review this student behavior policy with their son/daughter prior to the start of program.
No-Shows.
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a "no-show". They will be charged for their "missed" appointment.
Late Arrivals.
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Regardless of the length of the lesson actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your instructor and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
Rain.
If the weather prohibits the safe practice of tennis we will cancel the lesson. We can re-schedule to a more convenient time. Pre-paid lessons will not be charged. In the event that rain prohibits the safe practice of tennis, after-school tennis will be held inside using a classroom provided by the school. Contact school administration to find out which classroom is being used for tennis that day.
After-School Program, "Little Tennis Olympic,” Monthly Adult Clinic.
All sales are final. No refunds will be given for unused classes. Customer may apply unused portion of program as credit towards the purchase of other YCT products or services. 24 hours advance notice is required to apply unused class as credit. For the After-School Program, there will be "1 Indoor Tennis-Related Class/Session" using a classroom or auditorium provided by the school (Contact school administration to find out which classroom is being used for tennis that day).
